Deep Dub • Experimental Bass • Sound System Culture
Steppa Sound is a new multi-genre bass music festival taking place at Astral Valley in French Village, Missouri. Our mission is to show people the peak of underground dance music.
We strongly emphasize sound system culture, as it is the only way to truly appreciate this music. We hope to create the purest frequency for like minded ones to resonate with.
Respect for sound, space, and each other.
Community over consumption.
Dance floors built on trust, not trends.
SteppaSound Bringing steppas from near and far to play on and listen to high quality sound systems.
Unity through music is the most powerful healing technique in our existence. To us, there is no better feeling…
Come for the community.
Stay for the culture.
Move with the music.
Reggae/dancehall/jungle genre: In UK dancehall and jungle music, a "steppa" has a distinctive "four-on-the-floor" beat, a heavy bassline, and is dance-oriented, influencing early dubstep. A "steppa" (or stepper) has several meanings, most commonly referring to someone stylish, a good dancer, or a music style (like "steppa" dub).
Wake up in nature, feel the bass roll through the valley, and connect with a community built around sound system culture. SteppaSound is more than a festival — it's a gathering.
